Welcome, dear user! On this site, we share the results of the work of the Systems Biology Group at the
Institute of Molecular Biology and Genetics (Kyiv, Ukraine) on the collection and refinement of data for
integrative gene expression analysis.
Currently, it contains metadata on samples of tissues relevant to the analysis of preeclampsia: placenta,
decidua, chorionic plate, chorionic villi, maternal blood, etc. The data are available via a web interface
under the “Metadata: Placental Tissues” section. Datasets and their samples are from the GEO Omnibus and
BioStudies, here we provide the metadata updated with information from articles referencing
the datasets and correspondence with their authors. For many samples, fetus sex was identified using
sex-specific gene expression.
The work is in progress, we will process and add data on new samples received using microarrays and NGS,
cover other pregnancy complications, in particular, fetal growth restriction, and enhance algorithms for
identifying fetus sex. More details about the project are available in this
GitHub repository.
